Mobile Sports is a local family owned business.

My wife and I started Mobile Sports in 2009 as a result of the bad economy and no job availablity. With 30 years combined hospitality management between my wife and I, we know how to take care of and exceed the expectations of any type of traveler and group.

We have three kids that keep us busy: 16, 13 and 9 years old and they all help with the business and give us plenty of advice and even some help on the boat. We understand, like us, you save up all year for your vacation and we can assure you get an awesome experience.

We TRULY care about our customers, not only when you are at the dock or on the boat. We want to give you a great memory to talk about for years to come. "Remember that time in Destin when we rode the Banana Boat?"

Mobile Sports Banana Boat Rides was created as an alternative to $75 per person watersport activities.

We started renting scooters here in Destin in 2009. It was a great job and we did make a lot of people happy. However, everytime a siren passed by our store on Highway 98, I got a bad feeling. I was always worried that my customers would end up hurt and with a bad memory of Destin. I needed to emilinate that fear so focus is on fun rather than teaching someone to drive. Enter Banana Boats.

We searched for some low cost activity that could give friends and family the ability to enjoy some water activities, while still being able to afford dinner later that night. And, at the same time, not get squished on Destin’s beautiful Highway 98 riding a scooter!

It’s a tough economy and we are right in the mix with everyone else. But memories are important to us and we found the sweet spot where we can engage our customers, offer a memory of a lifetime and at a reasonable price. GO BANANA BOAT RIDES!!!

We secured a spot on the Destin Harbor, Hired a USCG certified captain and set out on our first year in 2010. And to our surprise, even with random acts of chaos, people loved the banana - and we knew we were on to something... Then we move into 2011. A turly awesome year. We were busy day after day, meeting great people here on vacation and honering our promise to offer an amazing experience and have a memory to talk about on your way back home.

We achieved the #1 attraction on TripAdvisor.com in June of 2011 - which we have held strong ever since. 2012 is looking like a great year so far. But we need friends, families, groups, whomever to come help us make your memories of Destin complete -

And that's how we started to do Banana Boat Rides. It seems to fit here in Destin. We offer groups and families the opportunity to play on the water while being able to satisfy everyone in the group. Wet and wild with lots of screams OR easy and peaceful with a tour around our beautiful waters. We will give you the ride that you are looking for.
